Celebration of
the Life
of Miss Geneva

The family and friends
of Miss Geneva
thank everyone
all across the country
for your warm and
loving support
during this very
difficult time.

We were honored
by your presence
at the Home Going
Memorial
April 17th, and
we were touched
by all your
personal
remembrances of this
great lady.

May God continue to

Into God's hands we

beautiful spirit.

Thank you
for your
kindness

Miss Geneva's family greatly appreciates the offers
to send flowers or donations. Geneva came to live in California
to help Bob and Ben take care of Fonnie Rucker,
a family member born with Downs Syndrome.

In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to offer a donation to Hope Services - Whittier Work Activity Center in San Jose. They help people with disabilities to have a joyful sense
of fulfillment and accomplishment in life.

How to donate.

It was a great tribute
to Miss Geneva
to see so many people
wearing her favorite color
orange at the
Celebration of Life Service.

Thank you very much.

Miss Geneva passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at home with her

2 Timothy 4: 7

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

We will always think of Aunt Geneva when reading the above verse. She was truly a gift from God and a blessing to our family. She will be greatly missed. Love always from your adopted nieces and nephews who loved you so much.

Below is a message from "Joannie" at Cove Road Church of God, La Fayette, GA.

Pastor James Brown told us about Sister Kenerson's passing.  I want to express my condolence to you and your family.  I know you will miss her.  I am happy for the privilege of spending time with Sis. Kenerson while she lived in La Fayette.  She brought joy to our lives and to our church services.  I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to speak with her several weeks ago and I was thrilled that she remembered me.

She said, "Is this Joannie?" and  we spoke for several minutes. Only my family calls me "Joannie."   That's a fairly good indicator that we are in the family of God. I know she loves the Lord!  "You are in a "sweet rest," Mother Kenerson, with our Saviour.  Hope to see you
at the roll call!"

"Earthly people are like the earthly man, and the heavenly people are like the heavenly man.  Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man."  I Corinthians 15:48-49.

Sincerely, Joan Hopkins, La Fayette, GA
