If only our government was
as good at communicating fiction as Ron Howard in
The Da Vinci Code.
True believers in Jesus, who can easily handle and justify enjoying
the myths of Santa Claus at Christmas
and the Easter bunny, will no doubt welcome the intellectual
stimulation of this well crafted film.
Jaded critics and religious zealots LIGHTEN UP!
After seeing this movie, I was delighted and reassured to know that
a precious few in Hollywood can
still intellectually challenge an audience with a script which keeps
you interested and intrigued from start
to finish without non-stop, gratuitous violence and sexual
exploitation.
The Da Vinci Code is precisely what most movie goers want, namely a
good plot with
fine acting which keeps you wanting more! You can’t help but enjoy
this mind challenging, well-written film
which is incredibly loyal to the popular book storyline.
As a devout, practicing and proud Catholic, I welcomed seeing a
truly good movie, which thoroughly
entertained me while doing nothing to rattle my faith or opinions
about my church, and
some of its real life weird “protectors of the faith.”
Give us some
credit for being true believers! We know we have been charged by
Christ Himself to “beware of false prophets.”
Non-believers who enjoy a good cinematic distraction will like this
film too, just remember not to find
conspiracies in every scene. It’s FICTION everyone, ...that’s mind
candy for the intellectually eager and able!
After the throngs of movie goers pack the theatres to see this
excellent film adaptation,
I fully intend to go back, see this film again, and marvel at
watching something truly worth paying to
see on the big screen. Later, when it’s available for public
purchase,
this possible movie classic will find its
rightful place in my home library.
You see…endless car chases and
bloody mayhem films with endless and
brainless special effects are no match for a truly well thought out
human expression of visual art, talent and imagination.
Thanks Ron Howard for championing good writing and directing in film
and getting human
beings back to the basics, namely enjoying movies which make it fun
and exciting again
to pay close attention and think beyond the easy!
Just my
thoughts...
